RED BARN SOCIETY

Welcome to Red Barn Society.

We believe in

Rural America

Preservation

Conservation

Farms

Today America's rural communities made up of working class, blue collar residents are being targeted by big city lobbyist, political PACs, developers, realtors, foreign investors, public policy office holders to abandon rural life for "white collar homesteads" high tech industries. These multi-focus interest groups have coordinated campaigns in rural, blue collar communities, heavily focused on abandoning preservation of rural land for increased density, up zoning.

CALL TO ACTION

Rural America and its blue collar roots are not for sale.

Red Barn Society is committed to protecting rural communities and stakeholders from coercive interest groups vying to abandon rural life for big city policies. We should not try to model ourselves after big city failures like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles. Belittling, using token slogans, disparaging acronyms (nimby) towards rural America will not go unanswered. Red Barn Society is steadfast in ensuring rural America isn't bullied by transplants, lobbyist, developers, realtors, foreign investors, political PACs, nor public policy office holders to relinquish our land over to "white collar homesteads."

WE GOT MAIL

"Developers lobbied new city manager to up-zone rural lots. Claiming "affordable housing." We were called "nimby," talked down to on zoom meeting. Lower middle class seniors were targeted by developers, realtors from Seattle to sell their land stating "we'll help you get into senior housing costing $10K month." This is a large scale, orchestrated campaign targeting blue collar, rural communities. A hostile takeover, land grab by entitled developers." Katie Clallam WA

"Our economic development council conducted zoom meeting with developers, city manager, lobbyist. Developer admitted on zoom call that he won't build unless he can make over 20% profit! Developers are hiding behind nonprofit boards as "social program cover" using catch phrases "affordable housing" "missing middle" "equitable ownership" while getting exempted 95% on property taxes!** Guess who pays the property tax, lower middle class blue collar, rural residents." Eric J.

"My 70 year old mother was continuously pressured (duress) to sell her modest rural home by Bellevue real estate broker. We stepped in to prevent elder exploitation. Discovered same real estate brokerage firm used the same tactics on widow from Whidbey Island. There is a coordinated effort going on between lobbyist hired to fetch federal grants, politicians, developers and investors to increase density in rural communities. If you want money you have to obey their destructive zoning changes or face being chastised for daring to question their motives under pretext homeless housing. Do not be fooled. It's all about destroying your rural land, well being." Brad Monroe, WA
